We welcome back London’s SECRETSUNDAZE team! GILES SMITH and a group of friends launched SECRETSUNDAZE in 2001. In a short period of time, SECRETSUNDAZE became the hottest ticket in London and within a short time all over Europe including the Ibiza season, Sonar in Barcelona and international events featuring world-famous DJs. Producer, composer, DJ, remixer and music critic, GILES SMITH is multi-talented and his style is focused around deep house and techno with a warm, hypnotic feel. However his sets draw on many styles from Chicago to Detroit to more modern European influences. SECRETSUNDAZE co-founder and co-resident JAMES PRIESTLY is fortunately also on the decks tonight. James has a distinct djing style, playing broadly what you would describe as deep house & techno, often borrowing from his freestyle background, preferring to move things around rather than follow one linear groove. SMITH and PRIESTLEY‘s “Secretsundaze mix” series received critical acclaim internationally and their SECRETSUNDAZE parties are among the most famous in the world. Both have invited A SAGITTARIUN to the decks. Via the Elastic Dreams label, A SAGITTARIUN has issued a handful of 12” discs, each one armed with breadth and sustenance, exploring the outer reaches of deep and thoughtful electronic music, where possible accompanied by a message of hope. Using the dream process as a springboard for musical activity, A SAGITTARIUN has indulged in astrological techno, spiritual house music, bass heavy dub rhythms and ambient paths, culminating in the debut album, ‘Dream Ritual’, released on the first day of the Sagittarius’ zodiac timeframe, 2013.

The vast techno soundscapes of Sweden’s LODBROK can be heard from the basement Tresor Floor turntables, music that is at once futuristic and evocative at the same time. Eclectic, creative, curious and involving, ANTONIO DE ANGELIS has a unique style that transmits passion and adrenaline, dreams and emotions. ANTONIO is another artist from Emmanuel Ternois’ Children of Tomorrow project in London. Featuring strong house roots with contemporary techno and deep inflections, he often collaborates with Arnaud Le Texier, most notably and recently in their project Detect Audio. Dutch artist CHARLTON’s inventive style of producing tracks combined techno from “the old days” with his own dark off-beat rhythms. Adding nasty razor-sharp and hypnotizing acid basslines to this creating a truly unique, ‘CHARLTON’ sound had a great impact on Dutch techno scene. He was soon playing all over the place with with gigs and residencies across Holland and has since then played at various cutting-edge parties such as Awakenings, Heroes of Techno, Q base, Detatched etc. Now based in London, his first ever EP “Slowdown Basterd” received top reviews when it came out in August 2010 on M_Rec. SYNTHEK is a DJ and producer, as well as label owner of Natch Records anda Tresor Club resident. Always delivering strong and powerful sets, SYNTHEK is characterised by solid mixing skills sharpened through many years of experience behind the decks.
