CAUSE&AFFECT:
Melting tech house with garage and bassline business with plenty of swing, Cause & Affect’s inventive sounds have taken them across the UK and Europe, as well as earning them the support of radio stations like Kiss and BBC Radio 1. Most notably though, Rinse FM were so impressed by their singular sound that they offered them a weekly Wednesday show that’s gone from strength to strength. Much like their energetic and bombastic DJ sets, the show has allowed them to showcase the exciting new scene they have built up around them in their own inimitable way. Where there is Cause, there is always Affect.
WOZ:
Woz explores bass music in a way you’re unlikely to have heard before. His fresh and unique take on the genre, combined with the incredible production quality on his tracks, is a rarity indeed. Woz’s last release, ‘Early Morning Champagne’ featuring Joel Compass, hit the mainstream hard with its distinctive, bass heavy production and with strong support from Zane Lowe and B. Traits on BBC Radio 1, Woz is undoubtedly one to watch.
ELI&FUR:
Since bursting onto the scene in 2012, Eli & Fur have been perfecting a sound built around infectious, electronic melodies and seductive, pensive vocal lines that have been hypnotising dance floors from London to Dubai. Eli & Fur have also been remixed by the likes of the legendary Jimmy Edgar and the fast rising Hackman and Ejeca. All the duo’s releases have come via their own imprint NYX, which they have recently launched as a club night in the capital showcasing up and coming new talent.
The girls met at college at the age of 16 where they bonded over their love of music, eventually turning this passion into DJing out at house parties around London, working without an agent to secure their names on as many line ups as possible. Now known for their captivating sets, which have seen the duo play alongside the likes of Maceo Plex and Scuba the duo have also been appearing on line ups for Chibuku, Bugged out and most recently Boiler Room TV. Their Festival highlights include Creamfields, Dimensions and Glastonbury.
Eli & Fur have also been writing together since their teenage years and their sharp songwriting sensibility is clearly recognised with ‘You’re so High’ which reached top 3 on Hype Machine and over 250k plays on Soundcloud. Their latest track, ‘Seeing Is Believing’, sees the girls collaborate with the talented Shadow Child who featured it in his recent BBC Radio 1 essential mix, the track will be forthcoming on Defected this Summer alongside other releases and remixes on Anjunadeep and Kitsune.
DENHAM AUDIO:
Denham Audio are a DJ and production collective born and bred in Sheffield. Recent support on their productions has come from none other than Route 94, J. Phlip, Ejeca and Goldffinch and the trio have been building a solid reputation and gaining recognition for their unique ability to blend techno, deep house, disco and even garage into their sets.
