As the dust settles on the ANZ Stadium and The MCG the October Long Weekend just keeps getting longer.
The Marrickville Bowlo presents Mad Monday, October 5. Not only is the Bowlo providing its immaculate greens for games of lawn bowls and schooners of Willie the Boatman’s Foo Brew for five bucks but at 2pm three world class bands take the stage, straight from Dashville Skyline, the Hunter Valley’s Festival of Americana.
The Lonesome Heroes from Texas are headlining an epic show of haunting alt-country. Sons of the Inner West, Mick Daley’s Corporate Raiders will be right before them preceeded by Melbourne’s favourite bard, Van Walker, a gravelly voiced super-hero who will probably try to drink all the Foo Brew before anyone else. So get in early.
