Katoomba RSL Club are proud sponsors of the 22nd Annual Blue Mountains Blues, Roots and Folk Music Festival.
Ticket holders can enjoy many of the live acts playing in the Katoomba RSL Club auditorium ‘Blues Room Stage’ and 'RSL Pavillion Stage' over the 3 nights + days of the festival.
The Blue Mountains Music Festival of Folk, Roots And Blues (BMMF) returns in 2017 on March 17, 18 and 19 for its 22nd year with headlining acts Paul Kelly & Charlie Owen, The Waifs (returning home to Oz after another hugely successful tour of The US), Eddi Reader with a fantastic band from Scotland, Aussie Hip Hop sensation Urthboy and Folk Uke (USA).
Folk Uke are Amy Nelson (Daughter of Willie) and Cathy Guthrie (Daughter of Arlo) and, as such, are folk royalty. They are supported on their Australian tour by Dogtrumpet, a family affair spearheaded by brothers Peter O'Doherty and Reg Mombassa, former founding members of iconic Australian Aria Award-winning and hall of fame band Mental As Anything and unquestionably musical aristrocats in their own right.
The international contingient will contain an amazing variety of acts from Ireland, Scotland, Canada, The Netherlands, The US, India, Japan and Ethiopia.
There will be three days of great music on seven stages totalling over a hundred concerts, as well as the usual songwriters and instrumental circles, hearltland conversations and roaming performers!
The Blue Mountains Music Festival Folk, Roots and Blues is a unique annual music festival that combines seven stages showcasing the best folk, roots, blues and indie music on offer with the scenic wonders of Katoomba and its surrounds.
