Straight outta Kempten into the big wide world! Recently the DJ and producer team “Drunken Masters” caused a stir with their remix for none other than Diplo and his Major-Lazer Combo. Diplo liked the rework so much that he instantly played it on his radio show on BBC radio 1xtra. Shortly after Joe and Chrissi got together, chopped up some Waka Flocka flame-samples and thus produced the banger “Pow Pow” together with Chicago’s Willy Joy. With this track the two earned further international superstars’ respect, for example A-Trak and Flosstradamus, who even made this track a regular feature of their set for their last US-tour. Furthermore, in 2013 the Drunken Masters contributed the official remix for Casper’s single “Jambalaya”.
Needless to say that, speaking of live performances, there was no chance of getting around the “Drunken Masters” last year. With performing at Deichbrand, Southside or the OpenIn-Festival as well as doing DJ-gigs in the Netherlands or Barcelona, they once again showed impressively that behind the decks the “Drunken Masters” are far more than just an ordinary four-handed DJ-machine. They accompanied “Genetikk” on their tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
And here’s a little update on their current work: soon the “Hour of Power 2” will be released! One hour at full throttle, straight in your face! Of course, last years highlights will join the queue. Exclusive mash-ups and remixes, whether it will be Lunice or Lorde, Major Lazer or DJ Snake – trap, electronic music and lots of bass. Promise, it will be a real turn up! Hands down!
