After playing his Berlin Live-Debut a couple of years back and releasing new music with his side project Gaussian Curve (on Music From Memory) and with Tempelhof, Gigi Masin, forerunner of the ambient scene since the mid 1980’s and a pioneer of contemporary electronic performance will return to Berlin to play a very intimate & special seated concert at Festsaal Kreuzberg.
More than 30 years after his legendary 1986 EP 'Wind', Gigi Masin just released his new album 'KITE' in mid-february on bandcamp, leaving the note: "Recently I have been thinking about what 'a change' means. Whether it's a turning corner of keeping on walking straight down the road, or a ship adapting its course to the winds and waves, or a kite dancing in the air one step away from the clouds. I'm thinking about new passages, further destinations, new places to reach.. but I still have a bag full of memories: unique people I've met, smiles, hugs, projects.. Maybe a change is like crossing a bridge, following a kite that finds its meaning in the wind, its motive for searching the horizon and stealing another dream. (...)"

With more international tour dates, upcoming collaborations, an album of new material, and a continuous refusal to be pigeonholed as ambient, new age, Balearic, modern classical, or whatever you wish to call him ... Gigi Masin continues to be one of the most quietly innovative and singular artists in the scene. Not wanting to rest on his laurels and remain tethered to past triumphs, he remains facing forward, doing things “in the same way I did in the past, when nobody cared.”
Cass.
German ambient musician Niklas Rehme-Schlüter began releasing music under the name Cass. in 2012, creating loop-based compositions with pianos, strings, and other acoustic instruments, as well as field recordings. His early 2013 'Loops & Farewell Sketches' immediately sold out of its initial pressing of 100 copies, and was quickly given a vinyl release by Düsseldorf label Shhhh. Following a split 7" single with fellow German ambient artist and friend Altars Altars, Cass.' second full-length, 'Magical Magical', appeared on the Japanese label Home Normal. Coming after this summers 'The Sounds Of Glades' mini-album with Wolf Müller from Düsseldorf, Youth Sessions sees Cass. expand his solo works beyond ambient towards a more whole explorative and encompassing ouvert. Following his participation in the Schleißen series in 2016, which was actually a reissue of the tape-release by Dauw, Cass. returned in 2017 with a new explorative solo album, Youth Sessions. Cass. upcoming record 'Postclub Prism' will be released in spring 2018 and will consist of ten pieces of ambient music about light and romance and will be the first release of a new 'International Series‘ on Into The Light Records, the label run by Ilias Pitsios (Echovolt Records, Athens) and Tako Reyenga (Red Light Records, Amsterdam).
