Soirée: GV Week 9 - Croydon Rangers Double Header

A huge day of gridiron coming up on Saturday for the Woodford Sport Science Consulting Croydon Rangers Gridiron Club, with both our teams playing at home in the last regular season round of the Gridiron Victoria summer season. This will be your last chance to see gridiron in the Maroondah City Council prior to the men's season kicking off on 18th June.

Kickoff - 10am
The first match sees the 5th placed Stuart Thompson Landscapes Under 19's take on the 7th placed Western Crusaders (gridiron team). Both teams are out of finals contention, but will be looking to finish the season on a strong note. A win would take the Rangers season record to 4 wins, 3 losses and a draw - a very respectable result.

Kickoff - 130pm
The second match of the day will be a replay of last years 4 OT epic semi-final between the All Over Bins Women's team and the Geelong Buccaneers American Football Club. The Rangers sit 3rd on the table at 3-2, with the Bucs sitting in 4th on teh same record. Due to tie breakers, the Bucs however have secured a playoff birth, while the Rangers need the win to confirm their place in the Final 4, and avoid waiting on results from the Sunday clashes. A win could still see the Rangers secure the 2nd seed for the semi-finals.

The canteen will be open from very early, selling egg & bacon rolls, hot dogs, dim sims, as well as the World Famous Ranger Burger. The Lone Ranger Bar will be open from the conclusion of the Junior match, and remain open after the game for some post match refreshments - please, in line with out Liquor Licensing regulations, no BYO.
