PHON.O은 Tigerbeat6와 Boysnoize에서부터 더 최근에 이르러서는 B Pitch Control까지의 레이블에서 음반을 발매하는 DJ이자 뮤지션이나. 그는 Mode Selektor의 매우 영향력 있는 “50 weapons”에서도 특히나 핵심인물로 꼽히며 수많은 싱글과 비평가들로부터 격찬을 받은 “Black Boulder”앨범을 공개하기도 했다. 과거 베를린의 명성있는 WMF club의 레지던트로서 sexy booty IDM, dirty techno, 우주적인 hip hop, ghetto beats 그리고 future garage 등 동시대적인 장르의 경계를 지우는 그의 구속받지 않는 결합물들과 최근 보일러 룸을 통해 보여준 셋은 아직 도달한 적 없는 최고치의 관심을 끌어모으는 데 충분했다. PHON.O is a DJ and musician who released on labels from Tigerbeat6 and Boysnoize Rec. to more currently at BPitch Control. He is one of the core players on Mode Selektor’s highly influential “50 weapons” label, releasing numerous singles and the critically acclaimed “ Black Boulder” album on the label . A former resident of Berlin’s famed WMF club, his unconventional combination of sexy booty IDM, dirty techno intergalactic hip hop, ghetto beats and future garage blur contemporary genre boundaries and his recent Boiler room set garnered attention for being on of the most far reaching yet.
