Soirée: SUP Club – Sunday Service!
The weather's looking fine again tomorrow – and we have a moderate east-north-easterly forecast, which should suit a downwinder on the flooding tide... Meeting at Thorpe Bay at 8.45am (the green before the yacht club at SS1 3NW, see www.wetndrysup.com/thorpe-bay-southend/) for a 9am launch we'll head west all the way along the promenade, under the pier, past Chalkwell and on to Old Leigh: c. 9km should take c. 90 minutes. Then we'll probably be ordering cabs for the ride back to collect vehicles while someone waits with the boards. Hire kit is available to experienced paddlers (we're hoping for flat water, but can never guarantee it in an easterly!) for £25 from Jamie via jamie@wetndrysup.com / 07971 830087
