The weather's not perfect, but it's good enough to go for our first Wednesday of 2017 (and in fact, our earliest ever start to mid-week SUP Club season!) There's definitely some breeze, so be ready for a few full-on wind-tunnel sections. And we need to be quick as, with cloud cover, it's going to be properly dark by 8pm! But to give everyone a fair chance of getting out of work, we're going to meet at 6.15pm (please don't be late! And be earlier if you need to pump a board up...) for a 6.30pm launch at Mill House (by the Church Road bridge, just beyond CM3 4BG – see www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=z9N9RqIZx2PM.kL-b5kgjhXP8&usp=sharing). Probably a night for the longer boards really – but this season we're going to get any shorter, wider boards launched first to try and keep the group closer together. So if you are on a sub-11' long / 32"+ wide board, be ready to launch at 6.25pm (and if you're riding 11'-plus, sub-31", please hold your horses for 6.30!) We're just looking at three locks west towards the A12 to turn at Cuton Lock, c.7km, so hopefully back by dusk – in time to hit the Six Bells for dinner and drinks afterwards...
