Greetings- you are hereby invited to an exquisite evening of Music and Fashion. I invite you to bring your finest Steampunk garb and join us for live musical performances and the thrill of high society. This event will showcase to works of one of Asheville’s premier Houses of Design: Avedien Coast, and will feature the creations of some of the store’s excellent designers. There shall also be a costume contest which will be judged by prominent members of Asheville’s geek culture, with prizes for the winner and the runners up. So lace up your corset, strap on your goggles, climb aboard the airship (or steam powered Mecha suit- we have no preference) of your choice! I look forward to seeing you there.

Geek Rock/Garage Pop act D&D Sluggers take the stage with Nintendo beats, a guitar and mic, ready to rock crowds. Using two Nintendo DS handhelds, funky guitar licks, combined with lyrics about life experiences and geek culture, D&D turns the room into a party inviting everyone to dance and sing to pop punk, new wave, and hip hop inspired songs and beats.

The Last Wordbenders:

Asheville grown nerdcore/hiphop outfit The Last WordBenders have been active as performers, booking agents, and event producers since 2013 when they made their performance debut at Multiverse Asheville’s Geek out convention. Since their initial appearance, the duo consisting of Midi Boss and Jeshua Morningstar have shared the stage with many reputable acts of all genres. Their list of notable featured appearances includes Ces Cru, SkyBlew, D&D Sluggers, 8-Bit Disaster, and the Extraordinary Contraptions- just to name a few. They have rapidly become known for their energetic performances, deep introspective lyrics, and witty fandom references. LWB is also part of the collective known as A.A.R.C (Asheville, Anime, Regional, Convention)- a quickly growing creative media convention which enjoyed a successful first run on July 26th 2014.

Endymion is the Moon:

Endymion is the Moon is the acoustic-folk-looping project of Chicago native Dan Block. Weaving melodies over melodies on a multi-instrument platform and using spoken word poetry to tell the story. Performing since 2014 under the name Endymion, the music is a reflection of the tale of a man falling in love with the Moon. Having opened for such acts as Aligning Minds, Rob Deverb, DJ Kutzu, Electrochemical, and the Last Wordbenders.

McDubbin:

Part of the Shenanigan Society, McDubbin's mission is to bring you an awesome party. Supplying heated foam to the masses and cool flame effects that react to the music. His arsenal of cool toys is ever growing as he thinks of more ways to bring Shenanigans to the mysterious gatherings known as Lurches

Every show that McDubbin plays is unique, blending different genres and creating mixes that are one of a kind. You never know what you are in store for when he is behind the decks. Playing everything from Glitch Hop to hard hitting Drum and Bass, his track selection will open your mind or blow it to smithereens.

McDubbin is also part of XXX Machina, a collaboration between JWOB, DamGood and McDubbin. Throwing out sounds that make asses shake and heads explode.
