For the fall field trip we will be going out to Bents, SK (about an hour outside of Saskatoon) to practice our night shooting! If you haven't been there, it's a great place to explore, with a grain elevator, lots of old abandoned buildings, etc. You can come and go as you like through the day, if you want to go out earlier feel free, and stay as late as you like! Please note: there are no facilities there, so pack a lunch/snacks etc. The nearest town is probably Harris, 15 min away. Hopefully the skies will cooperate and we will be able to shoot stars/Milky Way, if not there are always things we can try with light painting, glow sticks etc. Bring your camera, wide angle lens (don't worry if you don't have one, just bring the fastest, widest lens you have!), tripod, shutter release cable if you have one. For those that want to meet and carpool, we will meet at the Blairmore Tim Horton's at 430pm. Feel free to travel on your own if you like, and/or go earlier or later. Sunset that night is at 7pm (for planning purposes). Hope to see you there!
