Members,
Join us for RVYC’s Spring Cruising Dinner, Thursday, March 29:
The Adventures of a Ship’s Doctor in Antarctica
David Clinton-Baker, who sails his Catalina 34 on the BC coast with his wife Patricia, also clocks voyages into the farthest reaches of the Southern Ocean. In the past year, he has made four journeys serving as ship’s doctor aboard adventure ships that allow their passengers to experience the beauties and wildlife of Antarctica, the Falkland Islands and South Georgia. David, besides caring for any passengers needing medical assistance, also revels in the glories of this remote region. And has the photographs to prove it.
A great storyteller, David will delight us with tales of the challenges and rewards of being a ship’s doctor in some of the world’s highest latitudes.
All members and their guests welcome. Limited spaces available - this is sure to be a Sell Out event.
