IT’S the making of legend, the making of pure unadulterated passion, exhilaration and heartache.

For three colossal matches across six arduous weeks, the nation stands once more in anticipation, as two formidable battle-hardened foes go head to head for the crowning of State of Origin champions.

It’s a tradition dating to 1980, in which Queensland and New South Wales have since battled it out to the tune of 102 matches, with Queensland edging ahead in recent years for 54 wins to NSW’s 46, including two draws.

New South Wales, having finally broken their multi-year title drought, now sit on 13 series wins to Queensland’s 18 with two drawn series recorded since the concept became official in 1982.

New South Wales have everything on the line and everything to lose as Mal Meninga and the pride of Queensland look to regroup and take back the title of State of Origin champions once more.

The best place to see all the action is the Redcliffe Leagues Club, the heart of Queensland rugby league and the home to many great Queensland Origin legends, including Arthur Beetson, Wally Fullerton Smith, Mark Murray, Bryan Niebling, Greg Conescu, Adam Mogg, Brent Tate and Petero Civoniceva to name just a few who have made their way through to wear the maroon jersey at the top grade.

Live around the club across five big screens and 21 multi screens, you will not miss a moment of the action, with all the atmosphere of being there.
