The future was discovered long ago. More than 30 years have passed since Derrick May and best friends Kevin Saunderson and Juan Atkins attended Belleville High just outside of Detroit, Mich. The three teenagers would change the world forever by inventing a futurist approach to dance music and sound design that they would call Techno.

Referred to as the "Miles Davis of Techno", Derrick May has worked with acts like Depeche Mode, recorded legendary cornerstone tracks like "Strings of Life", founded the iconic label Transmat, created music for films and video games, and for two years, produced one of the most respected festivals in the world, Detroit's iconic, "Movement."

Decibel founder and Studio 4/4 co-founder, Sean Horton returns to the NW to play a special Studio 4/4 showcase. As curator of Decibel, Rolling Stone magazine placed Horton No. 43 on it's list of most important figures in EDM in 2014. Decibel Festival, in many ways, put the NW on the global map for electronic music. We're ecstatic to have Nordic Soul back playing at the night that he helped build with both his curation and his ability as a resident DJ.
