Steve and the Achievers

Steve & The Achievers play vintage dance music with one thing in mind – good times!

A love of Upbeat Blues, Southern Soul, Rhythm & Blues and Roots music have brought us together in the hope that we can play the music that we love for folks who want to have a good time.

There are songs that audiences will know and some they might not – all chosen and played because they have a solid groove for dancing and a positive message. Popular classics, choice soul selections, forgotten gems from defunct record labels, obscure 1940s jump-blues tracks and bawdy swing numbers with thinly veiled references to ‘relations’. There’s a bit of country rock, and a bit of Ska too - Something for everyone…probably!

Newbolds

Newbolds formed in 2011 playing a set rooted on the rockier side of funk. Penning original songs mixed with their take on a few known numbers they always get a crowd moving. Since their debut gig at the Stroud Fringe Festival 2013, Newbolds have been gathering a loyal following all over the South West. Feel free to tap your foot, wriggle your hips and if you really want to…shake everything you’ve got.
