One of the most-promising young artists to have emerged from the Montreal jazz scene in recent years, Rachel Therrien is known for her stylistic versatility and her sophisticated compositions. She recently returned from an extensive European tour and is working on her third album. For her Lulaworld performance, she is is joined by pianist Jeremy Ledbetter, Anthony Szczachor and Roberto Riveron Mederos.

Led by piano player Jorge Betancourt and featuring some of the city's top players, Cafe Cubano is one was one of the first all-Cuban full salsa bands formed in Canada. They have spawned numerous other projects and continue to be trailblazers of Toronto timba scene.
