The GuitarCases create their own brew of outlaw country and folk influenced blues.
You won't hear any "ooh ooh oohs", or "la la las" from the hardest working band in Canberra, but great original songs about betrayal, the road, deep-fried friendship and burnt corn fritters.
Andy Daniels delivers an intimate country folk ballad one minute and powerful blues the next. Andrew Tatnell makes his guitar sing. The talented Ang Perusco brings blues harmonica, acoustic guitar and backing vocals.
About two thirds of TheGuitarCases music is original. The rest are covers of songs from their heroes: Johnny Cash; Muddy Waters; Howlin Wolf; Robert Johnson; Elmore James; Waylon Jennings; and Paul Kelly.
