Sayed Darwish was “an Egyptian singer and composer who was considered the father of Egyptian popular music in the 20’s and one of Egypt's greatest musicians and its single greatest composer.” So needless to say, a tribute to this important figure of our musical history performed by contemporary Egyptian band فرقة بهيَّة - Bahiyya is one for the books. Afterall, he was a part of the reason why the band formed during a Tahrir sit-in during the revolution.
