Blackwing Music presents the Yung Warriors ‘TURNT UP’ Album Launch

Supported by:
Jnr Boy (Lionel Rose Jnr and Desley Rose)
Spitfire
Killa B
DJ Kidd Benny

Formed in 2006, with two albums already under their belt, back to back Deadly Awards in 2012 and 2013, two national tours and a host of high profile gigs including Big Day Out, St Kilda festival, Moomba and support spots for hip hop heavyweights such as 50 Cent, the YUNG WARRIORS return with their self produced third album ‘TURNT UP’.

Recognised as leaders amongst indigenous hip hop artists, YUNG WARRIORS (D-Boy and Tjimba) have crafted a blistering live show through countless performances, breaking down barriers and collecting new fans along the way from every walk of life: from aspiring artists to indie kids, JJJ fans and everything in between. As D-Boy has said: ‘This album is for fans who like to enjoy life. It’s a party album so we want a party at our launch.’

Never ones to shy away from giving back to their community through countless workshops and appearances, the tradition continues at the launch with the Yung Warriors inviting up and coming MCs JNR-BOY (Lionel Rose Jnr & Desley Rose) to support them, alongside Spitfire, Killa B and special guest DJ Kidd Benny. “Bring on the young and the youngest as well as the best of the freshest to play support for us” – Tjimba.

The Yung Warriors will be debuting tracks from the new album ‘Turnt Up’ as well as playing favourites from their first two albums Warriors For Life and Standing Strong.

Doors open at 9pm and presale tickets are available for $15 through Try Booking: http://www.trybooking.com/Booking/BookingEventSummary.aspx?eid=127019
