After a little hiatus, Ritza are back and in full force! The band performs for the first time in a long time this Thursday, and we’re ecstatic that it happens to be on our stage. Originally formed in August 2015, the band now consists of Maii Waleed (vocals/keys), Mohamed El Sammad (keys/synths), Mohamed Mallawany (bass), and Hassan Seleit (drums). Ritza has played a number of gigs around Cairo and garnered extensive local attention with their electro/surfpop approach - infused with robotic vocals in Arabic, electronic beats, synth-based disco grooves and driving bass lines. Up next, electronica DJ and producer NEOBYRD will keep the party going with his funkadelic electro beats!
